ASEAN countries pledge to work together to fight transnational crime such as cyber fraud
The meeting unanimously approved Cambodia's proposal to establish an โASEAN Migrant Training Centreโ in Cambodia. Song Weisner stressed that in the era of Industry 4.0, countries will promote the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to upgrade immigration and visa procedures to more effectively respond to high-tech new cybercrime.

The 29th ASEAN Immigration and Consular Directors' Meeting (DGICM) concluded in Siem Reap province on the afternoon of June 25.Song Weisina, Director General of the General Directorate of Immigration of the Ministry of the Interior of Cambodia, said that ASEAN member states and partner countries such as China, Japan, Australia and South Korea have reached a number of consensuses and will strengthen information sharing and talent training around the theme of "digital transformation and manpower innovation", and work together to combat transnational crimes such as human trafficking, drugs and cyber fraud.
